After I've just recovered from my music school's Christmas showcase, I've come to the conclusion that the worst job in the world must be a violin teacher! :-)
Oh yes. I had fairly high expectations when a friend said her daughter was very good on the violin and would be playing at a school show.
Ooh, dear. I had to grin and bear it. Poor kids, it's a very unforgiving instrument.
My granddaughter is learning the cornet, she has promised she will play it for us on Christmas Day. Her mother smirked as she announced this. Over the years we have bought her a toy piano and her brother a toy drum kit so I guess this serves us right.
Tend to agree Melv.
I loathe Carol concerts.
I HATE Carol concerts involving kids.
But above ANYTHING in this world, I hate to hear a child scrooping away on a violin.
