Like us all we travel on the overcrowded UK Motorways, I have seen up-on thousands of accidents, many deaths / Injuries, been lucky never have been involved myself in one, I has been unbelievable how people drive, take chances, at times come unstuck, in what way if you were asked could you improve Motorway Safety & try to come up with a solution to try & stop these happening?

Really???
Will you teach me, TWR?
What is the speed limit on the major highways in the UK? In Ontario it's 100kph; however, the cops will usually let you get away with an extra 10.
Question Author
Motorways, Cars 70, car & caravan 60, Coaches 60mph, Trunk road 60mph, unless otherwise stated, Built up areas, 30mph School Areas 20mph if stated,
Question Author
Yes BOO.X
The limit is 70 mph (113K) but most people edge it to 80/85 (130-ish) without worrying too much. Anything over 90 (144k) is risky.
Question Author
100MPH Stuey, Instant Ban
most Trunk Road is 70 mph limit not 60 twr as they are dual carriageways.

the limit drops to 60 on single carriageways or where a lower limit has been specially imposed due to added risks such as bends, junctions etc
Thanks.
If you've seen thousands TWR, I'd be seriously wondering if you were the cause of 'em I were you!

In all my 40 odd years I think I can count on the fingers of one hand the major accidents ive witnessed.
//Will you teach me, TWR?//

What you have to remember is,
On the Even Minute you join from the Right
and
On the Odd Minute you join from the Left
That's what you get for not using the rear view mirror.
The minimum speed the Association of Chief Police Officers recommend for a ticket is limit+10%+2 mph.

Limit Ticket Prosecution
20mph 25mph 35mph
30mph 35mph 50mph
40mph 46mph 66mph
50mph 57mph 76mph
60mph 68mph 86mph
70 mph 79mph 96mph
