Like us all we travel on the overcrowded UK Motorways, I have seen up-on thousands of accidents, many deaths / Injuries, been lucky never have been involved myself in one, I has been unbelievable how people drive, take chances, at times come unstuck, in what way if you were asked could you improve Motorway Safety & try to come up with a solution to try & stop these happening?

You still join from the left.
motorways are by far the safest roads, any safty improvements should be targetted at the other roads.

UK motorways are far safer to drive on than the German Autobahn, and make far more sense.

I have seen person's trapped even HGVs who are already on the motorway coming up to on-coming slip roads "that are on their left", they do not take into account the traffic that's coming up behind them leaving them no-where to go, what happens?
As an infrequent user of motorways it seems to me that some broken down vehicles on the hard shoulder with their hazards on have a hypnotic effect on the HGV driver. This seems to happen a lot on the M25, clockwise from the M11 towards the crossing.
^LOL

perhaps twr could post the sections of motorway he frequents so we can avoid becoming one of his 'oncoming' vehicles?

am away from the Rat Race Now Builder but still use them, the driving standards amaze me.

It is up to the Traffic joining the M-way to fit in with what is happening on the M-way,
TWR, you could do with a pair of Jimmy Cricket driving gloves.

(I'm not leaving this threads , there's probably more)

///the driving standards amaze me. ///

All that oncoming Traffic!!!

Baza, what some HGVs Drivers are watching out for is some Idiot Opening their Doors, the hard should is the most dangerous lane on the Motorway, I can not understand why a Motorist that has broken down does not pull as far over to their left as they can, but we all can not have road sense can we.
here is my handy guide to driving in Mumbai! really indian driving is incredible:

I am referring to the Traffic Joining from the Left Baldric, So I am wrong by saying they are ON COMMING, they are coming on the Motorway aren't they?
Just sitting here thinking, perhaps if people maintained their cars better then the chances of breaking down are less.
