not bad..domestic drudgery this am..shopping...back to do some planting and watering..just about to make din dins... another nice day after a bit of thunder and lightning last night...
Evening, Sweetie.......wonderful day.......tidied the family graves though the local folk keep them nice and neat......drove part of the Ring of Kerry to look at old childhood haunts......bliss of the day was a gannet diving......then a wander through the Fairy Garden in Sneem......
The Fairy houses are beautiful.......large enough for children explore while the fairies hide but too small for most adults.....I can still hide in them....just.....
My last evening in Sneem......a few more days exploring then home...... :-(
Been in front of the computer sorting out financial things. Capital gains tax on my Mum's estate which has made me a bit sad and tearful tonight as that is the last thing I have to do regarding her affairs. At least I achieved something though.
Spent a pleasant hour chipping the ice from the inside of the freezer, again, because OH doesn't understand that it needs a good slam, not a gentle push. Been breezy here, Norfolk, and a couple of thunderstorms but pleasant to be able to sit outside without baking.
Weather has been cooler today, much more comfortable. We got up early and went for breakfast, then drove to a couple of places here in Dorset. Abbotsbury and Bridport then back to Weymouth where we are staying for a few days in our caravan. We also had a swim in pool on site. Now getting ready for drinks and entertainment at Club. Not a bad day I suppose....
Fine thanks.
Two loads of washing out and dried, front hedge cut in case summer arrives, a few nuggets of wisdom imparted on answerbank and a fryup cos the boss was away getting her hair done, gravel raked back to where it should be in the drive and now having the big debate about what's for dinner. :)
Yes, TWR....nice memories and a tear at the grave of my friend Dennis who went into the sea to rescue a girl in trouble....both drowned.....he was twenty nine and one of the nicest chaps I've known.....a kind, thoughtful gentle man.....don't get better than that......x
I'm afraid life can be cruel Gness, I remember many years back where I come from Bangor N.Wales, this family 4 was always out on a Sunday sailing / fishing, they never returned, William the son, his body was found in Conwy, never found the other members of the family. xx
I have lovely memories of him.......red hair.....bit Luke Kelly like.....guitar, great voice and a motor bike....what more could a girl want..... Loved him dearly.... :-)
