i want to get a new phone for my daughter's birthday.

She has proved to us that she can look after it over the last 2 years of using an old iphone that we had in the drawer.  Unfortunately becuase it's older it can't get all the apps i want it to have ANY the battery barely lasts a day.  Where is a good place to buy a reconditioned i phone for about £150?  she has a tesco mobile sim on a rolling 1 month contract which is currently suiting all of us because it's relatively cheap and i can deploy the price cap, so it feels like i have a modicum of control (you read about children running up £1000s in bills inadvertently) so i'd like to be able to fit that sim in it.

for ANY read AND

The SIM should fit in any phone.  Does she want to stay with Apple?

Question Author

it's not her choice really as it's a pressie.  However, i think she probably would.  We have a clear split in this house.  I think apple products are a load of toss, MrB likes them

Try Apple they currently have reconditioned ones available.

also we have had good buys of reconditioned on Amazon. One dud out of 6 phones and ipads

and were you able to sort the dud?

If the SIM can't be made the right size (they usually have various perforations) Tesco will send a new one in a day or so.

I bought a decent replacement tablet via Back Market a while back. May be worth checking out.
