No mail delivery allowed to our holiday home.

We are now both retired and spend most of the year in our static caravan holiday home. Because we live some distance away we expected to receive our mail on site, but this is not allowed. I wish to know whether this is a legal requirement with regard to sited holiday homes in general. Many thanks in anticipation.

There might be something in the terms and conditions about this. Why not visit the local post office and ask them to hold your forward mail?
However, the cost of arranging forwarding your mail to that post office and vice versa when you return to your home might be a bit of a bug-bear.

That is normal with holiday homes. You could get your post delivered to the local post office for collection.

You'll find your holiday home does not have a post code I believe this prevent mail delivery. The situation is common.

I bet it does have a postcode and I bet the site office gets mail.

The simple fact is the site owner does not want to be responsible for your mail. It is a holiday caravan and it cannot be guaranteed when you are there. All sorts of problems can arise.

It may well be planning related - the properties are not allowed to be used as permanent homes, therefore post cannot be delivered to them.
