It's not something I have ever considered , so no.

Although living alone, I often do get the last word.

Bednobs is right - 'end of' makes me shudder.

I used to. Also sometimes I say " whatever" , which I hate when someone else says that, so try very hard not to. Now I just try not to argue letting Mr. Sam think he's always right. I just can't be bothered anymore.

not a tv prog, i have noticed that some have to have the last word on a/b. some won't leave it alone once the thread has called it a day.

No......because the last word is usually wanted in a disagreement and if you keep quiet, mouth closed in a slight smile and don't blink the other person will go on and on and round in circles.....til one laughs........☺

'End of.' the verbal two fingered salute. I always ask 'end of what?', that confuses them somewhat, like when a young colleague was told the 'p@ss off' by a stroppy pupil and she calmly asked him 'off where?'. He looked very puzzled and his friends laughed at him, an excellent result.
