We are looking to buying a Blender. Ideally, a stainless steel base and glass jug.

Argos has available a 'Cookware Signature' which could meet our requirements, but we have never previously come across the manufacturer's name.

Consequently we would wish to have a few comments from ABers on the matter.

Blendtec ones are extremely robust (but so is the price).

It's "cookWORKS Signature" and it's Argos's own brand. If it's item 422/8228, Which? describes it as "incredibly good value" and it's much cheaper than their Best Buys which are typically £60 to over a hundred pounds! Sounds like a bargain!
iSmoke, lol
What do you call a Chinese woman with a food mixer on her head?

Blender...:-)
dont know much about blenders, but plenty "mixers " in AB
For me it's 10 pints of lager and half a bottle of rum. Oops, sorry, didn't spot the L in blender.
Sorry, V & R, I'm the only one to take your question seriously!

gingejbee...I acknowledge that you have taken my question quite seriously and would wish you to know that at this stage Viv (my better-half..wife) is pushing me towards buying the 'Cookworks' item. However I am open to other opinions on the matter.

In the meanwhile, don't be bothered by the other answers which I have had. Just smile at the comments which I have had from folk whom I regard as friends within AB.

Ron
seriously viv. ive purchased lots of electrical and white goods from argos, and so far no problems.

Thanks all for your comments and we would wish gingejbee and anneasquith to know that we have bought 'on-line' from Argos the Cookware Blender. It will be delivered on Friday of this week. ( £30.94 incl p&p....cheaper than going into Swansea and paying for petrol and parking fees.)

Viv & Ron.
Oyster if you can source it - really durable and easy - US made.
sorry Oster
Thanks for the feedback and I hope it gives years of trouble-free service!
Question Author
Hope so gingejbee. Thanks for your friendly comments.

DT ..sorry, but, whilst Oster could have gone up in the frame. it's now a non- starter because we have purchased the Cookware item.

Best nwishes Viv& Ron.
