It's Margarita Time..

Well it was a couple of hours ago.
Just spent a very nice few hours sitting in the lovely golden September sun sipping margaritas with friends. Margaritas are my all time favourite cocktail, second would be English garden cocktail.
What's your favourite cocktail?

I like pina colada and diquari .....not together ......and that other one with the mint leaves.

Singapore Sling... In Raffles is hard to beat

Under the snooker table, mazie - with the tiger.

Wolf - there's a 'Virgin Mary' out there
200ml/7fl oz tomato passata (uncooked tommie purée)
2 spring onions, finely chopped
1 lemon, juiced
good splash of grapefruit juice
½ tsp Tabasco sauce
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
few grinds of fresh black pepper to taste (loads for me)
2oz ice cubes
1 tbsp chives, chopped

Blend together and garnish with the chives.

Not quiet DTC..It was in the long bar but many years ago.. I think it's changed a lot

Indeed it has, mazie, very luxurious now, only suites and behind the Long Bar, the courtyard is circled with major brand luxury shops, such as Cartier, Tiffany's and Vuitton.....

Russian bear, Vodka and Ginger Beer used to go down well as a teenager then someone sprung a Cuban Bear on us Vodka Malibu and Ginger Beer..... wasnt too bad

still is in atmosphere but not people, bit like the FCC in Hong Kong, which has been decimated once we handed the colony over to the PRC, or is that sold it down the drain.

We were in Raffles a good few years ago, it was very posh, expensive shops and Bentleys in the car-park. We walked around the grounds, and a Jap asked me to take his photo, lording it at one of the tables! My first thought was 'my Dad would have shot you first', but I did take his photo for him.

the new Singapore Raffles is not as nice as the old one !

How new is new murray, I think it was 2004 when we were there. We were told that the land has been reclaimed from the sea, Raffles was by the sea at one point.

that was probably the new raffles, it was closed for quite a long time for the refit..my sis lives there...

Nice place, liked Singapore we were hoping to go back there.

Well it's partly on Beach Road and that is about three blocks back from the Singapore River.....
