Anyone got any ideas for easy, cheap meals that I can make in a caravan? Given that everything is mini sized and there are seven of us I can't make what I would normally at home. My mind's gone completely blank. PS - I'm not bothered if it's healthy or not, it's only for a week.

Tins meatballs, packet savoury rice and baked beans. Corned beef hash. Tinned stewing beef and boiled potatoes and lots more in that vein.
BBQ the sausages, send the kids to buy chips from the takeaway and heat up the beans on the stove.

Tinned food is very easy, open empty into saucepan and heat through thoroughly, have been there and done it, we actually call them caravan dinners even if we have them at home lol.

Joe - doing this on a shoe string, so no eating out (maybe just once).
Think casseroles! (i.e. try to think of what you could make all in one big pan). For example, you could fill it with baked beans, throw a load of sausages in, add some gravy (instant, of course) and either some chilli powder or some paprika. Let it bubble away, so that the sausages cook in the gravy/tomato sauce. Result: A tasty sausage & beans casserole, which you can serve with some crusty bread!

Using two pans you could make a bolognese sauce in one and cook some pasta in another for spag-bol (or a variation on it, depending upon your choice of pasta).

If your caravan has an oven, buy some nice fresh sardines, wrap them in foil (putting perhaps 3 sardines, enough for one person, into each bundle) and bake them. When they're done, serve with some nice bread and olive oil.

Black_cat - no idea!
Savoury mince made with tinned mince stock cube & instant mash . Takes less than 5 minutes.
If you are on electric hook-up, buy a large slow cooker ( £14 from Argos http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4228709.htm )
Do your prep in the morning, leave on all day. Buy french stick. Come back to an excellent meal all ready for you. All sorts of casseroles, curries, etc. Even the cheap cuts come out superb.
boil pasta, add jar of sauce, garlic bread.
hot dogs
Hot dogs. Sausages cooked in the oven. Onions fried on the hob. Stuff both into baguettes and serve with coleslaw or salad of choice.

Fajitas. Meat cooked in the oven. Onions, peppers etc fried on hob. Serve with salsa, salad and grated cheese.

Tacos. As above but just cook beef mince with spice mix and serve in taco shells that have been warmed in oven.

Buy a couple of pre-cooked chickens at local supermarket. Cook spuds and veg in caravan.

Check website of the caravan site, they may have some permanent BBQs so you just need to buy charcoal and the food. Disposable ones would be horribly expensive to feed seven of you.
Microwave rice, jar of curry
Noodles jar of black bean sauce.....buy meat from a local supermarket.

Baguettes with everything, cheese, cold meats, pate. (Every other French person I have met the last few weeks carries a. Baguette)
