half pound gain which considering the previous week is pretty amazing
Can live with that so long as its a decent loss next weigh in....congrats to the rest of you though....onwards and downwards
Morning all, I've lost 1lb this week which is good and in the right direction. Well done to everybody who has lost :o)
Thanks for the pat on the pack Wendilla. I'm not worried about you. That pound will just be a bad memory at this time next week.. You have such fantastic sticktoitness....that's a new word, especially for you.

Onwards and downwards......
Lol Xstitcher. When I think we started this about July last year and I never gained once and lost 2 stone up to October. Now I have struggled like hell to get back on track but I think I am on it now. . I am still over the 2 stone loss but stuck and I do need another stone off.

Wendilla - I think once you get past the first big milestone you start to think you can take a little damage on the waistline. I'm exactly the same when it comes to food.

I'm still about 1.5kg ish away from my target. As I'm off on a cycling weekend this weekend I think I'm in a good position to knock half a kilo on the head by next Wednesday.

Each week I increasingly find that "Onwards & Downwards" is a really good motto for all this - it is exactly all you have to think!

All the best,

Spare Ed
Spare Ed - you're not leaving us alone for the weekend, are you.... ;-(

yes you are right there you tend to say to yourself well it's ok to have this as I have lost X amount and I know how to get it off but it don't work like that you just have to stick having the one treat. now and again. But I have put the food devil out and the food fairy is in now and she's staying.
I need to go shopping again, I've eaten all the good stuff!
had loads of odds and ends to use up so before I went to work made a sort of baked frittata stuffed with cooked new potatoes, pepper onions mushrooms and tomatoes in an egg and quark mix.....all free on extra easy or green days at slimming world... have half of it with me for lunch with a beetroot and rocket salad.... should keep me going til I get home.... and not a syn needed...

Quite right Wendilla!

//// Spare Ed - you're not leaving us alone for the weekend, are you.... ;-( ////
In fairness, I abandon you all most weekends - The Weekend Ed kicks in around 6pm on a Friday.

//// I need to go shopping again, I've eaten all the good stuff! ////
I don't keep anything "good" (although this term might be subjective) in the house any more.

I'm looking forward to a "well-earned" drink on Friday!
going shopping tonight..
on my list... raspberries, strawberries, melon, grapes, eggs, 0%fat greek yoghurt, ham, cooked beef, possibly fresh tuna steaks, low fat sausages, lean mince for arabian spiced meatballs, lamb shanks (possibly) how much good stuff do you need..

From slimming class last night one great idea to share...
Drink diet coke all evening then have a double at last orders, you still feel you've had a drink and you can't make the damage worse by having any more...
Like spare Ed - I don't keep any good stuff about because I know I would eat it. I don't have a lot of willpower where really nice food is concerned. OH is always moaning that there are never any snacks in the house.............But then he needs to loose a few pounds too, :-)))

Well done to all the losers and hang in there if you didn't. You will next week - Think positive - that's what I keep getting told. I'm going to be sorely tried tomorrow as I'm off to London to see my grandson. I find it harder when someone else is preparing meals - especially when they don't need to lose weight. My daughter-in-law is so slim and eats what she likes. :-( Still running about after a 2 year old should sort out anything extra I have - I hope.
Maybe she means "good stuff" as in "good stuff" for you. I really like the sound of the frittata rowanwitch and will give it a try. Could you be a bit more specific on the method please?
I did mean "good for you" stuff - the salmon and lean meat....
Question Author
JimJools, I think we both need to change our association of "good" with food which is probably bad for you - we both assumed the opposite of boxtops' meaning!
ok.... coarsly chop a bout half a pepper, 5 or six medium mushrooms, about 6-8 smallish cooked new potatoes, a medium onion, and any other veg you want to use up.... asparagus is good as are courgettes.... part fry using frylight spray except the potatoes slice some ripe tomatoes into a quiche dish, add the chopped up potatoes and the rest of the vegetable mix... beat half a tub of quark or fat free greek yohurt into 3 large eggs or 4 medium ones add a teaspoon of italian herbs or some chopped fresh basil or oregano pour over tthe veggies and bake in a medium oven for about 40mins or until firm to touch in the middle other options for slimmingworld extra easy keep the potatoes and onions and tomatoes add a tin of drained tuna chunks (in brine) or some left over cooked salmon... or lean ham..

if you can spare the syns a tablespoon of parmesan in the mix is good too
That sounds delicious Rowan - I think I'm going to try that one.

You're correct Spare Ed I did think Boxtops meant 'good' as in 'naughty' things :-/
Thanks so much rowanwitch. This sounds absolutly delicious. I have printed it out and can't wait to give it a try...........watch this space.
Well done to all the losers! I have stayed the same, but I have been being careful this week, so the good results will probably show on the scales next Wednesday.
Sounds like everyone is doing really well, Congrats.
I managed to lose half pound this week which Im quite happy with due to a birthday week last week. got to be careful this weekend as Im away from home visiting family. Were staying at an Innkeepers Lodge which do continental breakfast. must avoid the crossoints etc. I think I will make up some jacket potatoes scooped out and mashed with a little butter, cheese and onion and re filled. Then I can warm them up in oven at Mums and have with a salad. Otherwise Mum usually makes masses of sarnies and cake.
Good luck with your cycle ride AB and good luck everyone
