Hi Boxtops it's a great feeling when clothes fit better. I have to get some new tops as I was buying all baggy ones 2 years ago.
Well done wendilla - I hope I can just tuck 'em in for a bit longer, I can't afford to buy new just at the moment, I have bought a belt to hold the skirts up instead!
Did you notice that your skirts got longer.?
It's the new hipster look, LOL!
Lol I wear 3/4 length skirts in the winter with boots and now I can't wear some of them as they are nearly ankle length now as most of fat went from my hips .
Me too, but my problem is the waist.... always had a "family bum" so might reduce that but it won't be my major loss area!
open the waist band in two places about a foot apart and put in a 6 inch piece of elastic securing it well at both ends ....

the tricks you learn as a yoyo dieter
some great tips there slimmers.

I went to class this morning as I wont be able to go tomorrow as I may be going away. I got my 2 stone loss. Absolutely over the moon. I only needed 1 pound to get it and I lost 3 and half pounds !!! So Im 2 and half towards my next stone which I plan to lose in the 12 week challenge. Also got slimmer of the week , so a nice bagful of fruit to keep me going. Its been a great day so far

its also my birthday, so going out for a meal tonight, but will be careful. My OH gave me a facial pamper experience. Lasts 1 and half hours so Ive been to book it for Friday. Really looking forward to it. My confidence at the moment is good. Ive been wanting to feel this good for sooooooooooo long

Hope you all get on ok. Onwards and downwards
Happy birthday, TheOtherHalf. I hope you're having a lovely day : )

Well done on getting to your target ( and beyond). You've every right to be chuffed with yourself, I know how hard it can be to stick with it sometimes but you must be feeling good about yourself today.

It's good for the rest of us to to get proof that it can be done.I really can't guess how I've done this week. Will find out tomorrow morning at the weigh in
Thanks yinyang. Good luck for tomorrow. I assure you, if I can do it, anyone can. Id let myself go so much over the last 30 years and even though I knew it and could see it, was too stubborn to do anything about it. much to the annoyance of my lovely husband who has put up with me being so overweight. He never thought I would stick at this and is amazed how well Im doing but Im doing this for ME not him which is what I should have done years ago. he must have felt embarrassed being out with me when i think about it as he has always looked after himself as well as possible. I must have looked more like his mother than his wife. Now hes so proud of me

So keep going for yourself and your health. You know you can do it xxx
2LB total 1st 3lb but struggling with my pills as they make ne ravenous all the time
I'm well behind on my usual loss pattern....still good luck everyone onwards and downwards....
well done rowan. 2 lbs loss is really good.Keep going. It`ll pay off in the end
My last answer seems to have got lost so will repeat myself. I lost the plot last week and am paying for it dearly. However it seems to have plonked me very firmly back on the straight and narrow again and I hope that at this time next week I will be happier than I am today. Onwards and downwards..............
Yaaaayyyyyy! I've lost 2lbs this week. I'm happy xxx

Happy belated birthday TOH :o) x

Morning all. Looks like I am only 1.5 KG away from my end target weight. The problem will be keeping it off once I "hit" it. I've got to keep it of until May/June at least.

Good work to the losers by the way!

xstitcher - it is good when a little bit of badness jolts you back into the righteous path isn't it?

All the best,

AAARRGGHH! According to the scales I've put on over 2lbs this week. I really don't understand it. I have had a couple of blips but nothing that would equal putting on that much and I've been doing gardening and yoga. I think the most annoying bit is that I had felt I'd tried this week and it's got me nowhere!

Anyway, despite the urge to console myself with chocolate, I shall stick with it and hope for s better result next week. Well done to Rowan and Tigger : ). Think of all the lovely summery clothes you'll be able to wear this year...
Don't worry Yingyang. The weight gain is probably in muscle due to the gardening and yoga. Keep at it though.

Do you count calories? If you do then you could log them on here: http://www.foodfocus.co.uk/index.php

I use this everyday and it helps me with my fat and calorie limits so I know where I have to stop. And its free!
Thanks tigger. I don't actually count calories. My meals are pretty healthy in themselves - cereal and porridge with fruit for breakfast, salad or sandwich at lunch and something cooked from scratch for dinner. My problem has always been the rubbish that I eat in between meals and watching tv at night. If I could drop that habit it would make a big difference, that's why I'm trying to keep myself busy.
Hoping there's some hormonal fluctuations behind this weeks gain too, I you know what I mean.
Morning all and well done theotherhalf Tigger and Rownan. Hope I haven't missed anyone. Yingyang don't despair you should be rewarded with a loss the next week.Xstitcher I have had a blip as well but I have not gained I have stayed the same. It is more difficult in this really cold weather. I am going out for a chinese buffet meal tomorrow but will not have the sweets .
To AB EDITOR I notice you said you need to keep it off till at least May/June.I hope you are not going to give up after that. You need to maintain it . I have not lost for a few weeks but stayed the same but I will not give up .

May/June I'm off to Bali to do some surfing - of course I'll try and keep it off, but I think I might be more susceptible to the odd beer or cake (or beer and cake).
