Type of bra

I wear underwired bras as i have a lage chest. However, sometmes the wires are a bit painful. Can anyone recommend a bra that is not underwired but gives good support?

Have you tried sports bras? They're pretty restrictive and probably not good if you were wearing low-cut tops but they give good support. M&S have some good ones in stock, you'll be wise to spend a little time trying on loads of them in the shop and getting some advice from there too.

I like the Triumph "Doreen" which has been on the go for a long time but has quite wide straps which I find comfortable.

Are you wearing the correct size bra Lyn, as the wires shouldn't cut in. I think there is a brand which makes underwire bras for larger busts, which uses comfortable, non metalalic, flexible under wiring, but I can't remember the brand name, but expect most department stores will stock them.

My wife says to my questioining re. womens bras" don't go down that road because you don't know what you are talking about", but i replied "that has never stopped me before" LOL LOL
SHE (the wife) agrees totally with Velvetee.

I buy my bras (36G) from Bravissimo. They have shops dotted round the country and also a website (which I can't supply the link for from my work PC as it has the naughty word 'bra' so the site's been banned!!!) www.bravissimo.com. They do measure you and get you lots of bras to try on. The bras are not cheap, £28 upwards. However, the first bra I bought for £32 (Fantasie) was 3 years ago, I wear it at least once a week and it's still going strong. Basically, you get what you pay for. They are underwired but as the previous posts say - if you get a good fit they will be comfortable.

I second scotgals recommendation. I only wear Doreen bras. They are very easy to find in the shops and are designed for larger busts and no wire, which if you are big can be uncomfortable.

Apparently it is, or was, the most popular bra in the world. So it must be good.
