Although probably to late for your plans for this evening (it's only 1400 here in the U.S.) the next time, look for a good Italian restaurant that offers Scicilian cuisine. My family thoroughly enjoys Italian, but, over the last several months we've come to appreciate the difference, some subtle and other not so subtle, between Italian (northern and Roma) and Scicilian. One I'd heartily recommend is Gaddina Catanisi or Catania-Style Chicken. robust, with nutmeg and scallions but very flavorful and strongly Mediterranean. A great side dish would be Baked Fennel with Parmesan. It;s a creamier Northern Italian side, but goes well with any main. For dessert try Sfinci di San Giuseppe... a wonderfully decadent filled puff for St. Joseph's Day... a good restaurant should have them... Choose your own wine! Ciao, e Buon appetito!
