(This is a rerun of a question I asked a while back in the main category. Didn't get any replies there - could it be that the real buffs dwell in subcategories only? Sorry to be such a pain in the proverbial but I really want that poster - if indeed it exists.)

I used to own a black-and-white photo postcard from a Martha Graham production where dancer Merce Cunningham comes flying through the air in one giant leap. A woman (Graham?) sits at her desk in a jaded pose studying his flight toward her as if she were assessing his flying techniques rather than anticipating his company. Cunningham's body is cram full with energy, he's like a spring just released; looking at the picture you feel he must surely bounce once he lands.

I'd love to have this photo on my wall as a poster but haven't been able to find it. I'm good at advanced googling but search engines do provide different results in different countries - so if you're in the mood for some googling and you don't live in Sweden...

Hello Blossoms ..lovely day here ..best foot forward !
Bleugh ..that looks awful Jno ..mine isn't quite as bad as that !
Talking of dogs getting up on things ..Shaney was very good .He wouldn't get up on settees or anything unless invited to do so but he used to love trying the beds out if I forgot to shut doors. Our previous dog though ..Mickey the Norfolk Terrier was a class act . I used to always be in a hurry of a morning to rush up the school and the table was always covered in left over breakfast bits .I copped him one morning when I came back.. Standing up on the table hoovering up the odd bits of toast and cereal . He used to obviously jump from the chair to the table .He looked at me as if to say ....Ooooh Noooo....she's caught me !
It's such a lovely day I feel I really ought to be doing something energetic ......I know ....I'll go and make a cup of tea !
AfternoonEverybody Hope you are all enjoying some lovely weather. It has been fine here. I'm having another lazy day watching the snooker and saving my energy for tonight. Robi I'm confused. Which Andy do you mean about the floppy hair? The only Andy I can think of is Andy Walker. He is on on Sunday NIght.

Thanks for your kind thoughts about my friend. Yes it's very sad, we worked in a paper shop together and had such fun. When I went on Wednesday she didn't know me like I suspected except for one lucid moment when I asked her if she remembered me and she said it's Jude, after that I became a number of different relatives.

Vinny who's side were you on Chelsea or Liverpool. I wanted Liverpool to win so I was gutted on Wednesday night.

I am on Cat duty this weekend as my son and his wife are off to London for the weekend. I don't only have to feed the cat I have to see to the birds as well so I can be there for sometime, especially if I let the cat out then I have to wait for her to come back which can be up to an hour so I take a paper to read and do the sudoku.
Have a good weekend you all see yer later 'gater(s) :o)

Dawgs, possums, procrastinators- ...and here I would have entered the antonym of "procrastinator" but my online sources say there is no such thing. Good to know, isn't it, biddies. (They must not have heard of Vinny) "Hello My Darlings" made my day Vinny, what the hell was that, Michael Palin's dad or something.

Hippo and tortoise being friends "despite the age gap" made me laugh too but why did they have to be separated, couldn't he have had his hippo girlfriend but still lived next door to his old buddy. Size gap needn't be a problem, look at Woofy's ark for instance and the new pet she's forced upon her reluctant husband, she hasn't told us yet but there's a photo on the boys' web site of the poor man. And then she says he's fibbing when his elbow hurts!

Sad about your friend Jude but she seems to know to trust you and enjoy your visit.

What is that beautiful tree, Robinia. I wouldn't know one tree from another but it's lovely. And so is Charlie, you can tell how safe he feels on that piccy. I'd like to have a dog but it would have to come with a garden and a treadmill - for the dog! I like big dogs but they require more exercise than I can provide. Maybe I could just have Cesar Millan instead. (Sure you could, Kit, and you could both live at Versailles and travel around in a pumpkin carriage, how's that sound to you.)

Speaking of trees, don't know if Tim Knowles is well known in Britain but he was on the telly here the other week with his tree paintings, which in this case doesn't mean paintings of trees but paintings by trees

He he he, but that was my point, Vinny, you're such a rare opposite of a... er, potato... that the antonym dictionaries haven't even been able to nail down a word for it yet. Always whooshing and swishing you are, young man. <And keeping his house from falling down> Vinny

Robinia, "2 jobs out of 20 done" reminded me of an upper-class sort of fellow I did some business with many years ago. When I asked him when he would be able to get back to me he said it might be a while 'cos he had 24 items on his to-do-list for that afternoon alone, and then - instead of finishing our conversation and getting on with it - he started musing about what they were, those 24 items. "Play golf" turned out to be one of them. Can't help laughing even now 'cos his "accent" was such a parody, unbeknownst to himself, of the moneyed society he belonged to, but to tell you the truth I admire that ability to safeguard that which you need to stay healthy.

The Usual Suspects on teve later tonight, think I'll see it again. I saw it with my sister's dog the last time. (I sh1t you not.)

this is great

Hello...? Is this where the biddies dwell? Must be, they're forgetful enough. Neti! So when you say you need "snow", does that- ...better not ask.

If there are any biddies at home and not too stoned, could you just click my "this is great"-link from yesterday and see if it's working for you, 'cos it isn't for me, and I can't get into YouTube any other way either. Makes me nervous!
Hophead here, no kit your link isn't working for me either, and I'm finding AB very very slow or is that me drugs kicking in!! :-)
Question Author
He he he thanks very much Neti, must be YouTube and not my computer then, that's a relief, thanks! AB isn't so slow for me but I'm not hungover... All I did was sleep in front of the teve. Keyser Soze, gotta love him...
Question Author
Or is it "Sze"? The Swede shouldn't be the one to forget about the dots!
nope can't get in through the link or in to youtube at all...maybe the chinese have shangai's it again...(chinese....shanghai....oh please yourselves!)
Nice ish day here sun coming and going but DRY which is a big bonus.
The bluebells in the lawn (where the dogs haven't managed to trample) are looking lovely. I see we have a problem with spanish invader bluebells...is this revenge for sending them Neti do you think?
Oh Woofy I'd love to see a bluebell, Spanish or otherwise!! We have a lot of weeds (spanish, no doubt) and lots of dried earth. I don't like tidy gardens but do love to see lawns and flowers but all higgledy piggeldy, and wild looking!!
