(This is a rerun of a question I asked a while back in the main category. Didn't get any replies there - could it be that the real buffs dwell in subcategories only? Sorry to be such a pain in the proverbial but I really want that poster - if indeed it exists.)

I used to own a black-and-white photo postcard from a Martha Graham production where dancer Merce Cunningham comes flying through the air in one giant leap. A woman (Graham?) sits at her desk in a jaded pose studying his flight toward her as if she were assessing his flying techniques rather than anticipating his company. Cunningham's body is cram full with energy, he's like a spring just released; looking at the picture you feel he must surely bounce once he lands.

I'd love to have this photo on my wall as a poster but haven't been able to find it. I'm good at advanced googling but search engines do provide different results in different countries - so if you're in the mood for some googling and you don't live in Sweden...

Bad Kit, imagery theft is a serious business, if I recall my days in law school correctly.

Gah, I have just slashed my thumb with a razor blade (accidentally, I might add). Ouch. To think that kids do this sort of thing for fun. It has delayed my packing for Prague, but I will be off on Tuesday. If you happen to move house before I return at the weekend, someone let me know.
Mornin...
Tis gonna be a warm one this week.
tut jno..you should never shave the ole beard off when your tired you know..hehe..!
Oh arrr my sons receiving a certificate
from the mayor of cambridge in couple of weeks.Something to do with being mentored
by a lawyer.Should be able to post a pic. anyways ive got a job to do early this morning and then the rest of the bank holiday off.
later dudes...(:O)
ha wild looking sums mine up to a tee at pres, will take some photos and post them while it looks wild looking and not merely trashed!!
Its amazing isn't it that people don't realise how easy it is for anyone to get hold of images posted online...a google search for images pulls stuff out of peoples photo buckets and flickrs....there was a nasty episode here years back when someone joined the board and got members to post links to photos of themselves which he/she/it then downloaded and used the heads to put on bodies doing other things...anyhow all that is well in the past.
Yep.....I still havent got over seeing robiniaon one of those site' hehe..! (:O)

Morning, dawgs, it's been a lovely day here - sunny all day but not too hot. I've been outdoors for hours - I'd live on the balcony if I had one. Bought myself a bollywood mug to keep my pens in as I never know where they are. Which reminds me I haven't told you what I bought at the English Shop the other week: A birthday present for my brother-in-law, whose birthday it isn't. But the thing is he never gets anything from me as nobody knows what that man wants, not even my sister, but the other week I had spotted the perfect gift for him: One of the Dunoon mugs that I myself love so much. He teaches chemistry (and math), and this mug had the periodic table on it. There were sudoku mugs as well but the p.t. one was prettier.

Does that mean your son will be ready to practise law, Vinny? <quickly shrouds stolen songs> Looking forward to piccy!

Don't slash anything in Prague jno. Will you be going to Kafka's tiny little doll's house? It looks so nice from the outside, tell us what it's like inside if you do go there, won't you. Have a nice trip!

"i want a moon of my own"

phew, it's too hot....hahaha....just kiddin' but it was rather warm in my sister's car
what a lovely day it was, much better than they'd forecast...been out spending in the huge new B&Q, nothing too exciting, just 'things' for garden & a tin of paint - (when you're ready Vin please!)....blimey it all adds up tho'!
And we had salad & humungous cream cakes in the garden when we got back - unbelievable after the cold weather we've had.

Well I'm getting RSI from waving jno off on all these trips...so I'll tether this to the roof & be done with it.

Helloooo..sunshines ..what luvverly weather ...I've been garden bashing and garden centreing too ..and when I haven't been doing that I was flat out on the lounger ....recovering !
And ..it looks set fair for the rest of the week ..oooh I love it ....
Nashledanou Jno have a nice time .
Oh where did that photo of me come from, it's in my family album!!

Good morning world and another beautiful day it is.

O, must remember before we leave this dance thread to tell you about this year's winner of Let's Dance, which is our name for your Dancing With The Stars. Remember the YouTube clip I posted where television chef Tina happened to set fire to chvre - well she's this years winner. Well done for a chef! One of the jury members, Tony Irving (Brit living in Sweden), is openly gay nowadays but in younger days he was married to a woman and he said after the show that Tina jumping onto the jury desk in that manner was the first time in twenty years a woman had spread her legs in front of him like that, ha ha. BTW the other male juror, Dermot Clemenger, is an Irishman living in Sweden... What's wrong with you people, why can't you stay where people understand what you're saying, he he he.

winners (Tina Nordstrm and Tobias Karlsson)

(get thee to a mailbox Vinny and do it now)

~~~~~~~~Happy~~Birthday~~~~Patricia~~~~~
I wasn't planning on pasting your head until you planted the idea last night Robi but if that's what you want for your birthday, then so be it!
Happy Birthday Robinia!
nut cake! (as in cake for the nut)
Knowing how much you love Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley by the Herreys... but also knowing that you will probably have watched every clip there is... I am proud to be able to give you this alternate version from Lorry, a sketch comedy series from way back when. (They're taking the mickey out of the Herreys and out of queers but not in a vicious way - it's just that they took the mickey out of everyone and everything else during their active years so it would have been in real poor taste to leave anyone out!)
You might wanna fast forward to 1.10 to avoid a spoken intro in a very strange language.
Diggi-Loo Diggi-Ley
 Happy Birthday Robinia
Hope you have a lovely day and Many Happy Returns
Lotsa Love Shaney xxxx
Been to the grocery store and when I got home there was a breather on my answering machine. Don't tell anyone but I think it was Robinia, slobbering for more cake.
Happy Birthday Robi sorry I'm late I've only just signed on. Hope you've had a good day. I am going to the new B & Q tomorrow cos I get 10% being over the appropriate age!!. I'm going to buy stuff for my garden. New edging shears, bedding plants, weed and feed for my grass and slug pellets. My panseys go through hell with slugs. Unless you have any advice on how else I can get rid of them.
I've been to Horsley Lodge today for lunch with 2 of my friends. It was lovely. For those of you not familiar with the area it is a Golf Club at a villiage called Horsely on the outskirts of Derby. It was where my son got married last August so it has special memories for me.
When I camed back I took my car to Asda for a wash and brush up, always scares me because you get carried along on this track and go through the brushes and things to clean it then at the end you come up against this barrier which lifts up and over your car, it blows air on it to dry it off.
I always hate that bit but it beats getting a bucket and sponge out. Then when I got home I gave the inside a good clean as well.
Hope all the rest of you are ok and that you have a lovely trip Jno.
Take care All :o)
Horsley Lodge
Thought you might like to see what it looks like
bonsoir...
...I did look in early this morning but the postman hadn't been :o(... but it's ok I dont bear grudges
thank you all anyway - well nearly all...just when I was over it that diggy loo will start haunting me again
and how can it be Kit, that it's my birthday & you get the breather?
neti I ate the cake as fast as possible but just my luck it turned out he was an Action Man....tut (they didn't have any in the old days, I expect they've all got fully functioning extensions now)
There was a time Jude when going through a carwash made me panic (feeling trapped) - I'm alright now though....I go through on me bike ;o) My sister bought me some new edging shears for my birthday! & yes, it was what I wanted/needed. A tip re the bedding plants - find the ones with a couple of battered plants in & ask if they're reducing them (if they aren't already)..we both got a tray of about 11 busy lizzies for 50p & some half price lobelia.
Used to go to Horsley quite a lot, but never to the golf club, it looks lovely.
Been such a lovely warm day & my choccy cake went all squidgy...we had to shovel it in with a spoon - we don't have posh dessert forks but come to think of it I'm sure my sister took some from my mum's...along with egg spoons & jam spoons & fish knives & fruit spoons & spoons to scrape your spoons, haha...bloomin heck, all that lot for a bit of 'Finny 'addock' & some cling peaches with 'evap'... no wonder eating your chips with a wooden fork was a novelty :o)
>>>>>leaps in sideways>>>
Why I get the breathers when it's your birthday Robinia, that's one question. Another one would be Why do they call when I'm not at home! I'm home a lot you know! A lot!
I actually thought you were gonna say "...lunch with two of my men", Jude, ha ha ha. <Why is she not telling us about last Sunday> / Horsley Lodge looks great, a nice place for you all to have memories from - your son, your daughter-in-law and you.
Biddies I'll be your hostess for another round. CHECK YOUR E-MAILS TOMORROW!!!! (Just kidding, I'm not telling y'all where I'm going ;-) (Just kidding again, but too tired now, will get on it tomorrow.)
That was some great guitar indeed Vinny. Good night, dawgs here comes the night
