Ladybird type beetle, very small black and white

What are these tiny, tiny little beetles I keep finding on the walls at home, about the size of a large full stop, black and white, I haven't seen them fly though.  Hope they are nothing...

Period Pains

Can anyone suggest an alternative form of pain relief for severe period pains in a child of 13. All prescription pills have failed and I think she is too young for the contraceptive pill.
