What is it in tea that prevents the body absorbing Iron and how long should I leave it before eating my lunch now that I have just had a cuppa?

Refused blood donation

I was unable to give blood yesterday. First I failed the initial drop test and then the nurses were unable to access a vein. My friend suggested I take a multi vitamin with iron Is this likely to work...

Garden plant

In my garden I have a small bushy plant with small thin pale green leaves.it is covered in shiny black berries but even in this weather has a lovely fragrance. Anyone any idea what it is?
