How does woodworm move?

Sorry if this is not the right section. How does woodworm move from one piece of furniture to another? I have found woodworm in 2 pieces of furniture that we are clearing from my step father's house....

Energy saving light bulbs

Is it OK to use these in a 3 branch ceiling light, in just one of the sockets? Can't put all 3 in as it would be too bright I think. Also, can you use them in a lamp with a timer please? Thanks.

Skip hire - how much

I have looked on loads of websites but none say how much they charge for a skip. Has anyone got a rough figure for a skip large enough for clearing old furniture, 3 piece suite, display unit etc etc....
