So basically a young white female in a town where there as been a sustained period of sexual abuse on young white females, should run the risk of rape for fear of being branded a racist?

Hypognosis - "Ric.roar - "Strange thing is - no matter where I go most of the taxi drivers I see are asian
I wonder if this is true and, if so, why ..."

i think it is true, and an educated guess suggsts that a lot of Asian businesses will emloy family members, which in the case of extnded families, can be a large number of people.

Therefore, if an Asian proprieter buys a taxi business, he or she can probably staff it entirely with relatives, or friends - hence the large propensity for Asian drivers in most major towns and cities.

I stress this is entirely an educated guess, I am of course open to contrary evidence.

You appear to be accusing them of nepotism? Or do white taxi firms operate in a similar manner?"

I am not accusing anyone of anything.

I put forward a theory, with the proviso that it is a guess, an educated guess, but that's still a guess, so no accusation intended or inferred.

"Are there statiristics for what job types take people off jobseekers i.e. hiw many successfully get into taxi driving, other than being related to an owner?"

I have absolutely no idea.

If I'd had facts to back up my guess (there's that word again!) I would have used them.

I could be entirely wrong, I have no idea, that's why I put forward my view a guess - not a fact.

That's why I didn't understand it either.
