Just a quick question....... Is it legal for mobility scooters to drive on the road. Where I live we get an awful lot driving on the main road in our sea side town and it seems dangerous to me. They have no regard to motorists and can cause traffic jams. They are just as bad on the pavement as they can be going at great speed sometimes. I have no problems with people using them but I wish they would consider everyone else

I have no problem with them keeping to 4 mph on footpaths but before being allowed on the road they should have a test and a letter from both parents.

Yes, ban all pushchairs as well, they are ankle cripplers..........
It would be like a waltzer if you used a mobility scooter on the pavements in my area. Every house house a dropped kerb so the pavement goes up and down, up and down, up and down.
With all the street furniture and vehicles parked half on the pavements blocking the way, not a hope.
Ban those shoppers trolleys, too. You know the ones, dragged behind the shopper.
umbrellas, ban umbrellas dangerous things, a drop of rain never hurt no one!!
Oh yes, umbrellas must go.

And those very long dog leads, they usually have a little rat type dog on one end and an idiot on the other hoping to trip the passerby.
I never use one of those retracting leads with my little Willy, as he wraps himself around lampposts, trees, and old ladies legs with the greatest of ease, which can be terribly embarrassing.

So he now sits on a skateboard and I pull him along, which he greatly enjoys. Sometimes we have races with the 4mph scooters, although never with the 8mph ones, as his owner can't keep up.
Good enough for Viz, that one^
Thanks PD...one of my favourite publications !
Now the Walking Stick - that surely is lethal!!

Can I please keep my white cane though? I do need something to lash out with.
