Mosaic has just referred to a line from this in a reply to me in another post of mine but who remembers this radio show with Kenneth Horne, Swarthy Bearded Betty Marsden, Kenneth Williams, Hugh Paddick ie Julian and Sandy etc back in the 60s, it was on every Sunday afternoon about 1.30pm as I recollect.

I think everyone remembers the classic sketch with Julian and Sandy as lawyers ........... "Bona Law" Homosexuality was against the Law back then. It didn't stop them from coming up with line........ "Mr 'orne......... yes, we have a criminal practice that takes up most of our time........ "

And this...still as funny today as it was all those years ago !

I loved the Navy Lark, does anyone remember on a Sunday afternoon Billy Cotton and his band "Wakey Wakey" and better still Big Bill Campbell and his Rocky Mountain Rhythm must have been the first country & western show on radio ?
the Glums were on Take It From Here.
"Oh Ron ! "
I've still got some cassette recordings of the Navy Lark, Beyond our Ken and Round the Horne. They still make me laugh.
Round The Horne, Beyond Our Ken, The Clitheroe Kid, The Navy Lark, The Men from the Ministry, Take It from Here, Hancock's Half Hour and many more similar programmes can be heard online on ROK Radio's British Comedy Channel:
