I raised this during the Olympics and was surprised that more of an issue wasn't made of it. The distinction between Great Britain, UK and British Isles isn't understand by many in our country so I'm sure overseas nations find it confusing- especially as we have separate England, Wales, N Ireland and Scotland national football teams and call our UK Olympic...

I wonder what the new name will be if Scotland votes for independence.

How difficult is it for people to grasp that there's the island of Great Britain, the island of Ireland, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
