Struggling with 15a. Engineer back with a girl.(4) E??A. I can't see the logic behind Emma. Could it be Erna -logical but very obscure name? (Apologies to any Ernas out there)

I can see it may be ME for mechanical engineer, but that doesn't explain it. Is there an MEE acronym?
Ella fits too but I can't parse that
Erma?
MME - Master of Mechanical Engineering

Thank you all for your help. Danny K ,your suggestion sounds good but I can't find it on Google or Wiki, whereas there are a few Ernas,so I'm gonna go with that. Can't wait till next Sunday to see the solution.
I found it on google
Edna?
danny's right, I'm sure. I meant MME in my first post - no idea why I typed MEE
I do Psybbo. With = and - then reverse with (E)ngineer
Can you parse it Psybbo?
ah thank you.
No reversal indicator but then the skeleton is not the best for clueing.
if I read the clue it would help!! Back (LOL) to bed.

Thanks again.
Sorry, Mamya I didn't see you, but Ubasses has x
I should never have doubted you Psybbo. I'd just convinced myself that it was EMMA but Edna works too and is better as I don't recall ever seeing MME for 'engineer' used in a crossword
wrong section

I never expected the thread to go this far. My money's on Edna, so not expecting to get a prize next week. Not often there's 3 possible answers, even in the Skeleton.! Thanks everyone.
Edna is parsed as
Engineer =e
Back with = dna
