This, you post at 9:41
"If this woman's on sickness benefits then there's little doubt that she is ill despite how she might seem to viewers.

Is that your famous SOH at work there, sandyroe?"

i watched a snippet of the programme, and can't honestly tell you much about her, programmes like this will always raise people's hackles, that is why they make them, the people taking part should be made much more aware of what they are letting themselves in for, and how they will likely come across. The little bit of her swearing her head off, and talking to the neighbours who seem to be the same boat, didn't make me have much sympathy, but how can you when you don't know them.
Depressed people can put up a happy front to the outside world but that doesn't mean inside they are falling apart. I know I deal with this everyday of my life.
as someone pointed out the happiest person they met, good home, family topped themselves, i have lost some good friends to to various forms of mental illness. one was a best mate.

tambo, who nicked 13k?
White Dee did...
The tests for eligibility for sickness benefit are very tough, see my post at 9:20. But, as with all benefits, I accept that there might be a very few claiming it when they're not entitled.
Mental health is very hard to understand if you haven't experienced it. There are so many different forms of depression. The chemical imbalance in the brain, life experiences and in Dee's case triggered by bereavement.....the latter I really understand.
it is, but it can be lifelong and debilitating enough to wish you could end it.
as do i, bereavement is a terrible thing, especially if you get no help,

I wonder if her depression will disappear when she might appear on Big Brother in a few Months?
who knows, but she had better be warned that if she were to and takes the money, if it's a considerable amount, they could stop her money,
