My grandson is on a school trip for a week . Their dog has been looking for him and tonight my daughter has rang me to say that while he was upstairs he wet on her sons bed. He has never done this before always very clean He is a staffie 2 years old. Has he done this because my grandson is not there he only went yesterday morning. Many thanks with any suggestions as to why he may have done this.

Could your daughter put a t-shirt or something that smells of your grandson, in the dog's bed? It might help their dog with his anxiety.

He's anxious and nervous for you grandson arrival, perhaps.
It could be that the dog is pinning for your grandson.

Yes he had but I don`t know why. I had a cat that lived in my house part time and one day I went over to a friend`s house for the night. I was pretty sure that I turfed the cat out (hopefully, back to her own house) before I went but when I came home 24 hours later I realised that the cat had been shut in my house. I searched all over because I was sure she would have gone to the loo somewhere but there was nothing at all. That night when I went to bed, I found out where the cat had urinated - on my PJs which were underneath the duvet on my bed. I thought it must have been some sort of distress/separation anxiety.
Stress caused by a pack-member gone missing.
I agree with fred. The dog is upset and confused.
