Today when I was drying my hair I noticed a burning smell and my hair dryer suddenly stopped working. I left it for a while and tried again but with the same result, burning smell and hairdryer faliure. I repeated this process until my hair was done.
Do I need a new hair dryer?

Mine did the same couple of months ago. Get an old toothbrush and use it to get rid of the fluff that gathers at the back of your dryer where the cool air comes out. Some dryers have a filter you can take out to clean. Mines worked fine ever since I did that.

Yes it is what most men do, Yilly. Be seeing ya.
yes its probably full of fluff and hair and its burning it - check the filter.
if its clear, just get a new one to be safe.

fairycakes, I did just as you suggested and it is now working well. Thank you. Best answer to you.
I have just been reading about James Dyson producing a quiet hairdryer. I might put that on my Christmas list for next year.
