After spending many unhappy hours giving cats tablets and medicine I always wondered why you can practically shove anything down a cats throat and they don't choke. Have you seen the size of worming tablets but they go down without a thought. If someone shoved a tablet that size down my throat I would be sick or choke to death

It is because of their close association with Satan. Their pure evil protects them. And lets them sick it into your slipper while you are asleep.

Crafty cats, always crack on they have swallowed it.
Animals can swallow much larger things in proportion than human beings, it's all to do with the way our skeletons have evolved to allow us to walk upright. The angle our skulls join our spines has caused a narrowing in our throats. Animals of course do choke but not quite as easily as us.

It is also amazing how long they can keep tablets in their mouths before spitting them out.

I have to give my little boy cat his inhaler twice a day - from the way that he carried on you would think that I was trying to throttle him (which may be a possibility at some stage). They are just not keen on doing anything that isn't 'fun'.

Mosaic - you could be right.
Cats eat small prey mouse/rats/rabbits heads are a lot bigger they go down the throat first to stop them attacking the cat back, so no, a worm tablet to them is a breeze to them, one of my cat does not even chew, sachets of grilled or steamed whiskers, is sucked up, without a thought, or he can eat it quicker than the dog without taste buds.
