my old one was the same, no point trying to get it repaired, will cost more than it's worth!.....have a look around for offers!...the Co op have some on offer at the moment, may be worth a look, and they do free delivery if you order and pay in your local store I think..........

its still tumbling but there is no heat, son brought all his washing and I had his big heavy judo suit in it.
It can most probably be fixed though kate, probably cheaper than having to buy a new one.

I will have a look in the co op,thank you.
Hold on, before you spend lots of money. It could be that the dryer experienced an overload. It just might need to be reset: look for the button.
Is it a condenser dryer? Mine doesn't heat up if the reservoir is full.
That's what happened to mine (a vented tumble dryer). Just needed a part replacing. A bloke came & replaced it for £80 - well cheaper than getting a new one and it's been fine since (touch wood - can't cope without my beloved dryer!). I've had it for 13 years and got it fixed about 18 months ago. It's worth getting someone to come & look at it if they'll give a free quote.
