On French vehicle number plates there are two numbers ( white numbers on a blue background ) the denote the area that the car has come from.
Does anybody know the number/s for Dunkerque please?

It will be the department number if you google that.
For example Deux Sevres is 79
Those numbers have been optional since 2009.

59 would have been used for Nord (which includes Dunkerque) prior to that time.
