If the thread where the original question was asked is an old one, start a new one in the appropriate section with the heading 'FAO Naomi', for example, and then post your question to that person in the text box.

Thanks one and all, but I know where & What my Questions are/were.

There are a couple of (helpful & kind) respondents to whom I wished to ask an ancillary question in the endeavour to get clarity over something.

eg. Precisely which settings ?

eg. You advised on using iPhoto, which I do not use..... etc

Go to the question where people answered you and then type your reply in the answer box as you have here.

Keep posting in your original thread until you feel that nothing further can be said by yourself or respondents to the original question and/or other issues which may have arisen during discussion of matters.

I apologise if I have Not explained issues clearly.

THANKS once again to one and all.

Sorry to be so obtuse - it takes a lot of practice, remember.

Keep practising and bear in mind that we were all beginners at one time and, although I am an elderly 'gent' (if that's the correct PC definition for me ) I am willing to admit that I am still learning and Answerbank is daily improving my knowledge on all sorts of matters.
