I was telling a friend that lives on the other side of the world about my 3 yolk egg that I had the other day and she told me that the strangest egg she has ever had was one without any yolk at all.

Oddly enough that put her hubby right off eggs for a while, just as my 3 yolk egg has done to my OH.

Have any of you ever hand a yolkless egg?

Yep, they are known as "fart" eggs or "Fairy" eggs. They are normally much smaller than other eggs and happen when the hens get upset. I've had several and I suspect am due one very soon (Miss Maggie has been poorly but is on the road to recovery and now we've had a big thunderstorm).

Hmmmm, I find all eggs are "fart" eggs. Maybe the yolk's on me.
