I've got BT Infinity. It's such a shame that they provide their customers with such pathetically cr*p routers. The BT Home Hub 3 is a joke. It's constantly dropping the wireless signal and strangely leaves port 161 open so that BT can apparently 'manage user's networks'! Replaced it with a Netgear Wireless-N Gigabit Router WNDR3700 – all ports stealthed...

Hi ellie, I think your caps key has stuck, we've got BT Infinity - no problems x
Have you reported the problem to BT?
We needed a new filter/splitter when we had this problem but yes, ring BT.
Just been on the phone to BT to report a fault with BT vision the tv won't pick up the signal from the hub all of a sudden, they are sending me some new boxes. To tell the truth I am sick of BT the problems I have had with them since Christmas ( lost phone, broadband and tv for 2 weeks over Christmas) is unbelievable. I am going to go with Virgin I think. IMO BT are absolute rubbish.
Tony, BT is wonderful xx
Never had any trouble with BT but can't comment on BT Vision......
I think its the luck of the draw in where you live, where I used to live my broadband was okay if a little slow, when I moved I could connect but had no bandwidth so I couldn't download any pages, my telephone connection was also rubbish.
The phone light on the hub is Orange instead of Blue ( which it should be ) reported that a couple of weeks ago, they say that is alright, well if that is alright why is now Orange and not Blue ?.
Oh yeah, and this hub is only a couple of months old, it is a replacement from when our other one went kaput.
Just avoid TalkTalk.
Will do.
Tony we had problems until we put filters (splitters or phone adaptors, don't know what they're called) in all the phone sockets, no problems after that
We already have filters in place, Psybbo.

Replaced it with a Netgear Wireless-N Gigabit Router WNDR3700 – all ports stealthed and it never – and I mean never – drops the wireless signal. BT Infinity now works like it should have done in the first place.
