A German language student has brought his car to Britain and is driving it on his own insurance. He is studying at a language school in Britain and would like to drive his teacher somewhere during school time. Would his insurance cover this trip?

There's no 'one size fits all' answer. To give a meaningful answer you would have to say who the company was and what it said on his policy.....and thereby answer your own question.

Yes.
I take my car abroad quite often and my insurance policy covers me for a 90 day period each time.

EU legislations says any insurance policy must provide cover to the minimum required by law in any EU country.

So generally yes - providing that he doesn't get paid for it (hire and reward)
