I hurt my foot a week last Monday.

It's still painful but only when I walk. How long should I put up with the pain before consulting a doctor?

Thank you everyone..

Cupid, I will, but as I've never had a sprain I didn't know how long to wait.

It seems over a week is long enough.
what did you do it originally?

I just tripped up.

It didn't hurt at the time.
well if you'd broken tarsal bone could well be set wrong - try one of those support bandages for the foot/ankle, and rest it as much as you can

Because my other foot is swollen (old injury) I can't tell how bad this one is.

My ankle is definitely swollen.

I hate wasting doctors time. I will go though.
I have had more sprains than I care to count- nothing doctors tell you than to rest it and take it easy - even after 2-5 weeks it can still be painful.

I hurt my side about 7 years ago and still have the pain - my doctor told me once you injure anything the pain can linger for years. So I wouldn't worry too much about it - it will take time. If it was excruciating you would automatically be hoofing it down to the docs.

I can grin and bare it x
