Americans generally pronounce it as 'Los Vegas'. It may seem wrong (especially to Spanish speakers) but if we pronounce Wymondham as 'Windham' and we say 'Wooster' instead of 'Worrcester' (when referring to Worcester), what right have we got to criticise them?

i think its like the difference in the way northerners and southerners say something like glass or path etc.
