This is upsetting to those whose relatives suffered. Though, they should be remembered.

Yes I also read that, but I wouldn't have been so smug, or find it necessary as to add that last line.

Scratched lens is all I saw
What a load of twaddle!!
People see all sorts of images in things like this, pieces of burnt toast and so on. It's what you as the individual want to make of it (but yes, I just saw scratches too)
Looks like someone was trying to make an HDR pic from multiple exposures here, trust the Daily Bogroll to print it out of context.
I'd like to know if the pictures have been properly examined by an expert.

Here is one of my deliberately unprocessed HDR photos as an example:

I took this which looked a bit ghostly to me. I must remember to send in to the national newspapers:

Actually, I think 'ghosts' (for want of a better word) exist - but I wouldn't take an unauthenticated picture as evidence. As far as I'm aware no authenticated pictures exist - but I might be wrong.
Maybe not Naomi, but they have been captured on video a few times...

Looks very much like another example of Pareidolia to me...

More like 'Pareibollux' if you ask me.
Pareidolia is Pareibollux, or the picture from the link in the OP? ;)

Liked the ghost video btw...

AnswerBankers enter news items (and after all it was in a national newspaper) to create discussion for the sole purpose of a leisure activity amongst other ABers.

One has the choice to enter into the discussion or ignore it completely if they themselves are not interested in the subject.

I agree it could prove upsetting for some of the descendants, but if only some could realise what these poor unfortunate prisoners of the Japanese suffered in the 'Forgotten War', it would put some of the things that we class today as horrific inhumanity to man into some form of perspective.

Thanx AOG. However the image begat, its 60y since the trauma of those soldiers, whose pain is depicted briefly in The brdge of river Kwai. The image is soulful of their suffering. But for them, far east hols may not be possible
