BBC is annoying OH by declaring today as the official end of Summer, he says it's 21st September. I'm too tired to argue. TIA

I have always thought of Autumn starting on 21st September, I must have read it somewhere, but it was when I was a child, so I can't remember where.

And BST is meant to be Daylight Saving, whereas

a) no daylight is saved - it is just moved around a bit
b) why would we need to save daylight in summer? We can't store it.
