i have two tamarisk trees, they were labled tamarisk pentandra. According to all my gardening books they are supposed to bloom in the late summer. Mine have already bloomed and now the lovely pink trails have gone brown and look as if they should be pruned. Do you think my plants were incorrectly labled and is there another form of tamarisk that blooms late April? If so, what is it and when do I prune it? Many thanks in advance gardeners.

Not sure which books you have or if you are in the UK but they appear to be out on their timings. No need to prune them other than to remove deand branches or to thin it out a bit if it gets...

Thanks hawkwalk that is exactly it. Must have had the wrong label in the pot. Yes, I am in the UK, and this tamarisk has just finished flowering. At least now I know how to treat it.
