I had seen there was follow up to the normal Casualty on the Red Button channel re Sam before she worked in ED . I did a 'Record the Current Programme' after pressing the red button at the end of the regular Casualty episode. When checking the recording on Sunday saw that the programme had lasted for nearly 3 hours. On viewing the recordind found that the whole of the recorde programme was the SAME 10 mins right through.Did any one else see or record the programme and how long was it and can explain how I only recorded lots of the same 10 mins.

Easy - as with a lot of red button stuff the content is often a loop lasting x minutes though the transmission of those loops lasts y minutes. It's normal.

I looked at the TV programme guide (using my remote control) and it said the red button programme was from the time Casualty main programme ended until 00.30 - I thought Good Grief I can't sit up and watch it until that time so I didn't bother. Nowhere did it explain it was just 10 mins! Now I am so disappointed I missed it - what was Sam's secret - can anyone tell me please?

Thanks for the reply Postdog . I checked later on BBC i player and found that the programme was 8 mins long but thanks to your post can see why it kept on repeating itself, seems rather stupid to me.
As regards to the story line Ann86 it showed Sam in Afghanistan attending a damaged property after a explosion. Finds a child and then his injured father who she shoots, thinking he was about to detonate a explosive device when in fact was reaching for his inhaler. Whoops. As I said it was only 8 mins long and you can find it on the iplayer.
Many thanks BJS :)
