This morning I hit upon the brainwave of moving Tickle the hamster to a spare fish tank we have to give him more room, also less of an Indi temptation too!

However I've hit upon the snag of how to put his water bottle in for him. As a temporary solution I tried to tape it to the inside of the glass, but it just falls off. I can't drill into the glass, as a) im dangerous and b) it will eventually revert back to a fishtank.

Any ideas of what I can cobble together?

As a guide his bottle looks like this...

Incidentally, if you want a laugh, he also sank his teeth into my finger when I moved him, it bled like a good 'un and is still throbbing!

Wire coat hanger bent into a loop to hold the bottle and a hook to hook over the rim of the glass?

(p.s..... is it only me that kept all my old bike inner tubes just in case they came in useful for something else?)
Run a strip of velcro down the back (of the bottle not the rodent) and stick the corresponding strip on the inside of the tank?

Yeah, thought of that boxy, he should be ok though. There's quite a few air holes right at top, including two sizable ones that are usually used to thread heater wires etc through. There's also a flap on the top which I can lift up on the lid (providing Spawn of Satan- aka- indi- is locked out) if the weather heats up, which is usually for 10 minutes in July in my neck of the woods
With regards to the heat thing Boo - I didn't use the lid for mine, instead I put an old shelf from a fridge. You know, the wire ones, so they had good ventilation but were still secure.

hey karen

Cant use a wired top due to a ferocious cat! Why Tickle was moved into the tank in the first place. Ive made sure (I think!) that enough air gets in there for him.
