Jeff Love from Keele University circa 1976

This is prompted by a question about where I was whern Elvis died - at Keele University Students' Union disco presented by a student called Jeff Love.

Jeff introduced me to so many memorable and eclectic records from those days, I think of him often, and wonder where he is now. If anyone knows of Jeff, please post on here, I'd love to advise him that his taste became my taste, and started me off in a career in music writing.

Working for Stoke-on-Trent City Council - still trying to find the right job - maybe I'll find it before I retire
Twice married, with two daughters (24 and 26) and a son (10) - still living in the Stoke area.

Lot of changes since I last put anything on here - have separated, met someone special and life is going well but very, very fast.....anyone else think that ?
Still in Stoke, still doing same sort of job, still into music but now doing compilation CDs off iTunes (for friends etc) instead of DJing....no change there, then...... Last time I liked brackets in messages, now I seem to like dots........one daughter is off travelling the Caribbean selling mobile phones, the other lives about 10 doors away - coincidence, both renting houses in same street! Son is now 13 and over 5 foot tall......

Have bumped into and talked to a few people who knew me in a past life, which was nice, and quite happy if anyone wants to talk to me......

Picture in the attic is looking the worse for wear ( so am I, but maybe not as much.......)

It's funny ho someone you only knew literally to say hello to can have such an amazing impact on the course of your life - as i shall advise him if and when he replies.

august 1977 I was happily planning my wedding, working in Southport and flirting madly with the bloke from the carpet department, my fiance was safely 250 miles away in South Wales.

I used to know of a Geoff Love, he was from Todmorden I think, he was abit musical.
