There are several factors

The price of beer is a big factor - it's as dear as wine in some places.

Likewise the supermarket giveaway prices have changed drinking habits.

Young people drink in clubs.

Oh! and er... Dr Filth's police state? Somehow?
Ah well if its to do with beer then I'm completely in the wrong thread. Apologies DrFilth.

even the salt pots on the chippy counter has less holes in
Holes? In the police state? Have I strayed into something odd?
Is the redesign of the salt-pots responsible for the closure of these pubs, too?
Question Author

Hoorah for life under the Stasi.....at least we had sufficient holes in our salt-pots!!? :o/
