Bham city finished 9th and then this ,the following season got relegated -is this the highest placed relegation in top flight?
Also what is all leagues highest place relegation-has a team finshed 3/4th and relegated next season?

In 1937 Man City won the league...and in 1938 were relegated. It could only happen to City!!

The funny thing about the 1937/38 season when Man City went down, was they scored more goals than anybody else (80) and finished only 16 points behind the Champions Arsenal...I'm not telling you who was relegated with them :-S

Funny enough Man City are the only club to score and concede 100 or more goals in the same season.1957 or1958 I think.
