I have just revamped two large plant pots I have painted them blue, which look good, what plants would be suitable preferably evergreen as garden is low maintenance with lots of potted plants which have seasonal ones but would like something long term.

Lavender would look nice in a blue pot. I have various types of dianthus in my pots which are evergreen.

the spotted laurel would be bright and cheerful, but I'd go for goldcrest conifers and gradually 'topiarise' them into spirals and put while impatiens around the edge in summer and have some dwarf tulips like red riding hood round the base for spring
