uninstall audacity

how can I uninstall audacity. I use windows 7 and need to reinstall audacity due to set up problems. I have used control panel which indicates the uninstall but the progtam remains. Audacity forum is no help

Thank Naz - I'll try it. Why some programs are so difficult to uninstall I don't know. I could understand a paid program wanting to stay embedded in a computer but not a free one. Thanks.

It's because you're trying to uninstall a corrupt installation. I guess it just doesn't know what to automatically remove.
