I having trouble reading my computer screen at present because I'm having problems getting used to contact lenses.

So I'm playing about with the Firefox add-on NoSquint which lets me change the colours of text and background on a webpage (as well as zoom). I see that it was mentioned on AB 3 years ago.

This is probably down to personal preference but are they any combinations of text and background colours that anyone has found easier for viewing pages than others?

If you are having that much problem seeing the screen, your contact lenses are the wrong prescription.

The complicating factor is that these are multi-focal lenses because a single-focus lens can't provide the correction needed for both near and far sight. Even with the vari-focal lens glasses that I have been wearing for the past couple of years reading the computer screen is not as good as it could be.

So the bottom line is that it is probably not possible for me to have contact lenses that cope with all circumstances. This is only the trial month to see if they are good enough and so I can go back to the opticians at any time (and probably will do). It would be a shame to give up the new-found freedom of not wearing glasses without trying to find a way around the screen reading problem.
