just bought the above car. I notice that the CD/Radio has an aux button. There is no outlet in the glove box so i assume this was not specified when new. I have read that the 3.5mm jack socket is actually present in the wiring loom but will be taped up. Before I start dismantling the dash, can anyone confirm this?

I used to look after Ford car wiring.
Yes, it USUALLY is. The extra is called an mp3 socket that fits into a relief/hole in the dash box inside upper edge.
Some low level models had the base wiring and was not connected at the head unit. You need to take it out and have a look.

Thanks AlBags. Don't suppose you know anything about the bonnet locks? Seems mine is worn and will not open the bonnet. What a stupid design anyway. Been told i've got to break the front grill to get at the mechanism to change it.
