Look for something on google to give you more of a understanding into a HJT log because as I would say for this topic you will get more chance of finding useful information on 'net

If you are studying a tutorial then all the help you require is here

http://www.google.co.uk/
All will help you understand what you are removing and where from.
A very important thing with HijackThis ... as you can disable a malicious process or disable Windows completely with it : )

OK, i am still not sure, here's an example.

(ie. "open ADS Spy.

if you do a seperate scan with ADS, it will scan your windows folder, and show any ADS streams you may have, legitimate or malicious depending on what box you have checked.

But when you do a Full HJT scan from the main menu, will these ADSs show up in a full scan.
Or do the ADSs only show up in the open ADS spy scan.....

thats the point i am trying to make,

Yeah tryed that.
Thats why i posted, i do not think ADSs (files) show up in a full HJT log, its a completely seperate log for this.

so in my mind when your viewing a HJT log (full log) ADS won't show up
Unless someone know different.
