i went to my local car auction today, but the car was on the total loss register, how does it effect me? it was mot'ed & taxed, if i had brought it what differance does it make too me?

wont make much difference to you - should be cheaper to buy, wont get a top price if you claim on insurance for loss or damage repair is to costly.
normally a usable car for less ££££££ that also reflects on resale - don't think a garage
will take it in part X.

It all depends as to the reason that it was registered as a total loss - there are different catogories of total loss .
For example , at one end of the scale ,the vehicle could have been in an accident, and the damage being so that it should have been crushed and not repaired and put back on the road
